Movement didn’t “fix” my mental health — it helped me manage it.

There’s real science behind why movement helps:
• It releases endorphins, dopamine, and serotonin (mood-regulating neurotransmitters)
• It lowers cortisol (the stress hormone)
• It improves sleep, focus, and emotional regulation
• It gives your nervous system a signal of safety

For me, movement became less about changing my body and more about stabilizing my mind. It gave me structure when life felt overwhelming and momentum when motivation was gone. And it doesn’t have to be intense to count.

Walking counts.
Stretching counts.
Showing up counts.

Movement isn’t punishment. It’s regulation. And that shift changed everything.
